Landscape vs Portrait

When I create a book in iBA the pages look exactly as I want them in landscape but when I go to portrait everything dissappears and I'm left with a blank page with the title at the top. I am doing a dry run with a few images and text boxes under a basic template. When I Cut/Paste items things look good until I go to portrait.

What is happening, and how do I work with the program to make the book work both ways.

You CAN have inline tables in portrait view. You have to insert them in portrait view though, and the easiest way is to type some text then "convert text to table".

I faced the same issue when creating a coffee table picture book.

My book is in landscape and when I switched to portrait, I see all white pages with just the title of the chapter. I have a double page spread with 2 photos of 512x769 side by side.

I changed the mode to portrait and added the same content into the page and discovered that the book's landscape content and layout is still there.

What this means is I have to create the same book in both layouts.

Right now I am trying to figure out the size of the portrait page so I can layout one photo per page. Anyone knows what size I should use for full screen photo?

I know this thread is old and most likely forgotten...BUT... in iBA I turned off Portrait mode coz it was/is a photo book and most are landscape and 2 portrait mode pics can go side be side...

The book was KB'd and a ticket issued " lack of functionality" no content in portrait mode.

I replied that Apple made iBA.. and built in an option to turn off portrait mode.. so WHY now dictate that the book is dead in the water if I dont comply.

I dont understand why everything disapears in portrait mode - but it does.

And I cannot understand why my photo book is blocked coz of this problem when I have so far downloaded 10 photo books which have no portrait mode and they got through!!

Is there any sense or solution coz the "Contact Us" is a joke.

Apart from turning off the area sales permission option.. How can I have all ticketed books removed and alow a claean start.. as it is it seems to mean dont use the titles and info of a ticketted book coz it seems to just sit there in iTunes Connect as dead as the origianl.

Bit of a rant,,,, sorry.. but Apple are also wporld leaders in creating a problem and then penalising those that fall into its trap!
