You do not say what to do if there is no disc icon...
Do you see it in finder? If not look into Finder Preferences and check the items you want to see.
No, it is the darndest thing. My CD's do not show up anywhere. The FInder preference is set to show CD's.
Every instruction says "insert CD's, the disc icon appears on the desktop". When I insert a CD it asks what program I want to open, or i can ignore that, but regardless of what I do no disk icon.
Been trying to copy some .jpg files FOR TWO DAYS. Getting a little frustrated.
Excellent. Thank you.
You're welcome. As you can see by the file I chose for an example, I have burned many files, jpg's and movies.
The "Help" with the Operating System also gives those lousy instructions. They're lousy because the whole thing is premised on: "If you see a dialog ..."
Well, WHAT IF I DON'T ????
I'm using a RW disc, and I do NOT get a "dialog".
I'm so frustrated. I never knew that Apple could f**k something up that should be so easy.
Yes, that can be frustrating, but no matter how shiny the product looks, no machine is ever perfect.
Is there a difference in writing to CDR or CDRW? I burned into CDRW and I cannot write into it anymore...Strange!! Any help here??
I personally have never used CD-RW's, but it is rewritable. From what I read you have to first erase the CD-RW then burn it again with the new content, making sure that you saved anything from the CD-RW that you want to put on it again. Using a CD-R its one shot only.
