Hi, thanks for your reply, keyboard stopped working Saturday (Australia) I have tried all the troubleshooting I know, and the three tips I got from AppleCare haven't worked. The track pad is still working, and I haven't an external keyboard to connect to. I am assuming not all the function keys are working because the two reboot tips they sent me didn't work. The tips they gave were: One or more keys on the keyboard do not respond

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM. ... These did nothing... That I can tell.

I am about to call the help line again, but any advice at all you can offer will be greatly appreciated, I have only had my MacBook for less than a year, I have converted to macs after 20 years of+ of being pc user. I use an iPad with text to speech applications, and since getting my iPad I am a Mac convert.

Cheers!
