The iPhone/iPad is missing key functionality such as calendar attachments, out of office and ActiveSync smart forward/reply.
This idea of a central store for files doesn't work when you are sending invites out to user outside your organisation unless you suggest we make the stores public.
You are 100% right on the central store issue! I work on many confidential issues where the documents are restricted to those on the invite list (the full calendar entry isn't even visible to anyone else), and having a different central storage area for each issue isn't feasible even when it's only internal people on the meeting notice, let alone external people. If my crappy bl@ckberry had the ability to see and open the meeting notice attachments, it's really unforgivable that the iPhone and iPad can't!
Oh, there is an out of office feature, but it's in a different app (oddly). We use Lotus Notes (thank God we're getting rid of that in the near future!), and there's an app called IBM Notes Companion that allows me to put in an out of office notice. I assume (hope!) there's one for Outlook and other mail programs too. (It also has the encryption key so I can read encrypted emails.)
Come on, Apple, you're better than this!
