WPS and Pin in Airport Extreme

Airport Extreme supports connection with pin (wps)? In Airport's manual I found instructions for connection through pin but in Airport utility I didn't find this option but only through mac address.

but in Airport utility I didn't find this option

Did you look here?

Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup

Shift the focus of your eyes up to the uppermost top of the computer screen where you normally see the Help menu.

Locate Help, then move your eyes left until you see the Base Station menu

Click the Base Station menu, then click Add Wireless Clients

I have Lion with AirPort Utility v.6.3.1 and there doesn't appear to be any Manual Setup located anywhere within the utility.

The pull-down Base Station is greyed out but shows a WPS Printer option under the shade.

Will it be possible for me to use WPS with the version and if not, is there a solution for using WPS on my iMac and through my Airport Extreme 802 .11n?

(I can't face the installation of a video security system without a WPS setup).

Open AirPort Utility 6.3.x

Click on the picture of your Base Station

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

(Edit is now the substitute for the Manual Setup button in earlier versions of AirPort Utility)

When you do this, you will see that the pull down under the Base Station menu is no longer greyed out. There are also tabs for various settings for the Base Station, Internet, Wireless, Network, Disk, etc. Take a peek at each tab to get an idea of the next layer of settings.

The Base Station menu item at the top of the screen displays Add WPS Printer, but you can install any wireless device using this method....at least any that I have tried.

Thanks very much.

When I select the edit button the Base Station pull-down menu does show two of the menu items but the third (Add WPS Printer...) is still greyed out.

If I buy a WDS compatible security camera, will I be able to use the WDS feature as intended to do the device setup for me?

I'm sorry I don't understand the architecture of what I'm letting the WDS do for me. Will it still let me do an easy setup?

Many thanks, again.

Sorry, but I cannot duplicate what you are reporting......to be able to find a fix.

All items under the Base Station menu are available and active.

Sorry, but it is not possible for me to say, since I have not tested the device that you are asking about.
