Does the Apogee Duet 2 work on iPad?

I've submitted this question to Apogee (twice) and they seem reluctant to answer. Which may in fact be an answer but I thought I'd put this out to the community to see if anyone has some first hand experience. I'm looking for a high quality portable recording set-up, that records at 24bits in stereo on the iPad. I've seen some lists of devices that evidently do work on the iPad and Apogee Duet 2 doesn't turn up on any of them. Again, perhaps I already have my answer. Thanks.

No it doesn't. It doesn't have the right kind of connection, and requires too much power to work through the Camera Connection Kit. Apogee does make two products that work with iPad: Jam and MiC.

Thanks for this. There was some talk about being able to power the Duet with a powered USB hub then into the CCK but I couldn't find anyone who could actually confirm that this worked. It's strange, given the relationship between Apple and Apogee, that they seem to have dropped the ball on this. Hmmm, maybe there'll be some added connectivity with the iPad 3.
