Error youtube Apple tv

Okay it is jacked just download factory restore you know when it redownloads firmware. YouTube still not working I am not happy hey wake up apple or YouTube and get a fix . Where is Steve when you need him. He would not let this happen.

Took delivery of my ATV2 yesterday and almost everything works as it should ... except YouTube.

I spent hours trying everything. I thought it was me.

Found this thread and it appears that it is a general issue. I am based in Scotland.

Here in Italy, same problem..

this is amazing, 'cause youtube it's a free service. The issue it's worldwide, since more than 24 hours, but nobody form apple's staff can give some answers...

Hope that someone could solve these issues.. because, we use youtube daily and this is one of the reason I bought ATV..

Must be an Apple problem becuase when I access YouTube through my Sony TV's Wireless adaptor it works! Come on Apple sort the problem out....we expect you to be the bench mark for service.

At least own up to the problem and give us a timeline to the solution.

As I posted on another thread that Houston, Texas was back up.

I really want to know who's bright idea at Apple to have the users to jump through all these hoops of erasing the units and reinstalling software... REALLY? COME ON APPLE... YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT.

Apple you need to have better proceedures than that. How about having someone in a lab setting try testing the problem before you have users erase all the data on the unit. There goes all the favorites and wishlist settings. I can see a re-boot or power-cycle, I get that but to erase and reformate. JEZZZZZZZZZ that is down right S T U P I D!!!!

This could have been corrected SOONER, if better troubleshooting proceedures were used; instead of sweeping things under the run (so to speak). The idea is if it gets bad enough, that there were be multiple users complaining and then Apple will get off their duffs and do something. MY GOD, Apple has enough money to take care of these sorts of things in a reasonable and cost effective manor.

It's not that things weren't working or broke... that is life... but to just wait until it gets to a critical mass before trying to work on a real world problem is shoddy!

Connects ok except for history and favorites, interestingly though going into yt's search then using the play/pause button to change the keyboard until previous search strings come up is an easy way to play movies you've searched/played previously. A workround for sure but quicker than typing in a full search again.
