how to remove stand from imac 21.5'

Hello!

I need to do international flight and unfortunatelly I will need to place my iMac 21.5'' into the checked luggage. I bought the very hard one. only problem that I have is the stand. I cannot remove it. I saw many movies how to remove stand from 27'' but it doesnt work with 21.5'

I will appreciate for any help in this matter.
