How insert geogebra interactive graphics ? Comment insérer une figure geogebra interactive ?

Bonjour,

j'ai l'impression que je dois créer un widget avec cette figure mais je n'y arrive pas.

Y-a-t-il une autre solution que de passer par le widget ?

Merci d'avance pour votre réponse.

I created a geogebra applet and exported it (in a beta version of geogebra) to html5 (under the advanced tab).

I followed these instructions to make a widget which I imported in ibooks, the exported geogebra-html-file is the index.html mentioned in this post.

There's just one thing I can't get right: the size of the geogebra-applet is too small. Does anyone know how to fix that? Exporting the geogebra-applet in another size has no effect at all.

Hi bosberg,

there are three places with or in which you need to specify the size of your widget:

- the size of the Default.png needs to match the size of your widget

- in the info.plist of the widget, you got to specify the size of your widget

- and last but not least, the div or container you use in your html page for the widget also may have width and height specifications.

I would be interested in that widget of yours - would you eventually be interested in creating some algebra widgets for the iBooks Author Wiki (www.ibooks-authoring.de)?

Hi Multimedial,

thanks! That did the trick. I made a Default.png of 1024 by 768 and used the same dimensions in info.plist. I made sure that the dimensions of my geogebra-applet were smaller than that.

So this is how it works:

- create a geogebra applet in a version of geogebra that can export to html 5.

- create a png-image of the graphics view, name it Default.png and make sure the size is big enough (1024 by 768 is fullscreen)

- export your applet as webpage including html5, make sure the dimensions are not bigger than the size of your Default.png. Name your file index.html

- create a info.plist, see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3675854?answerId=17385725022#17385725022 for an example. Change the dimensions to 1024 and 768

- create a folder containing these 3 files, append the extension .wdgt and you're done! Now you can insert it in IBA.

Enjoy!

Hi bosberg,

I tried the instructions you gave for creating my geogebra widget, but it doesnt seem to work. As soon as I would try to import the widget into ibooks, html widget holder, it would pop up with a message saying, "the main html file is not defined" I have defined it in the plist.info, but still pops up with that message. Could you please write a detailed informative way to design the widget and how to put it in an ibook. And if you could please tell me if there is another way of doing it, like using dashcode?

Hi Scorpion_sting,

I created an applet in geogebra 4 (the current stable version) and exported to html5 by clicking shift-cmd-B (osx) or shift-control-B (windows). The applet in html5 is copied to the clipboard and then you have to paste it in a html-file. I also exported the graphics-view to a png-image. For further instructions: see my previous answer.

You can find an example through this link: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B9mpguW9VKjWQzRnRzltek9TbHM

You have to put the files in a folder and append the extension .wdgt. You should now be able to import it in ibooks author.

Hi Bosberg,

I have created the widget with your example files, but my geogebra applet does not come up once I preview it on ibooks, I am sharing the files with you, if you could direct me to where I am going wrong. Thanks. I am almost there. 🙂

Here's the link with my <article> tag with your source code on the index.html file.
