But will most (if not almost all) 3rd-party peripherals or hardware like speakers, mice, portable hard drives be no problems with compatibility issues?

There is a reason they are called 3rd-party. It is your responsibility to track down each and every one of them and ensure they will work with MacOS X Lion. Most of the time they do work. Sometimes they do not. You have to decide which is more important - usability, productivity, security, and style - or compatibility. If you choose compatibility, then your only option is a generic Dell running XP.

Does Doubletwist be able to help me transfer those files to my Android phone you think?

You will have to ask your Android vendor about such things.

I have heard of some of my friends who have Macs that they often complain of compatibility issue when it does to connecting hard drives either as Fat 32 or NTFS format. I have a Fat 32-formatted hard drive and I want it to connect to my MacBook with no problems.

BUt you guys mentioned I can always install Windows alongside the Mac OS. That would eliminate some compatibility issues wouldn't it? Will it slow down my MacBook if I have Windows on it? How do I install Windows?

MY other issue are (again) the ports. I have my HP Windows 7 laptop and I almost never had to use the DVD drive although I still feel it I may need it on a MacBook.

I will need a MacBook who has a least 2-3 USB ports. One for my wireless mouse, one for the hard drive and one for the printer. I know what you are thinking. I don't need to have my printer connected all the time yes.

SOme other issues are fan heat/noise and being expensive to buy.

Please advice me more.....
