error code -8058

Hi,

Does anyone know what error code -8058 mean?

I have an unknow file on my desktop that I can't move or trash because everytime i try this error code -8058 comes up.

The recommendation to rename files seems to be on the mark.


I was having the problem when copying files from a PC then noticed that the files that were causing the problem had characters that were non-English language. In my case, that was umlaut (a pair of dots above the "e"). Anglicising the spellings (dropping the umlaut) worked.
