Maximum failed passcode attempts in restrictions - what happens?

thanks for the heads up, never thought of changing the time. took me about 20 odd goes, but i got there in the end. 🙂

I tried 22 times and finally able to access the restrictions..

Which version of ios and iphone did you have? I have tried 9 times and do not want to brick my iphone with another wrong attempt.

Thank you for serious helpful reply :) Unlike some who must have too much time on their hands to even be posting with ridiculous comments that are no help to some who might lose data.

Mine isnt locked except for changing some settings. Do you mean after so many attempts?

I'm noticing that I cannot restore a back up without iphone locator being turned off, right now it is greyed out with it on, so cant turn it off lol Catch 22, I guess I can after a full restore.

The errase data applys only for the lock screen password not the 'Restrictions passcode...

i try code retriction almost 9times

i am scared if i insert more it will locked my iphone forever. so what should i do to refresh my iphone

How many attempts do u get to try to unlock my iPhone ?

I got to 19 'restrictions passcode' attempts and do not know how to get out of this . I transferred my iphone 4 to the 6S

The passwords that finally worked, did you ever try that password before but it didn't work?

I just had that same problem.... the restrictions have been on there so long:( is there any way to back it up before I wipe it clean?????

What about getting the thing in red that tells you the number of failed passcode attempts to go away? Does it disappear by its self and if so, when?

Genius!!!! It worked, all I had to do was finally remember what the code was but because of the time setting trick I did it in 5 minutes. Thank you mannox
