cant sell items on ebay?

oddly, I no longer appear to be able to ENTER PICTURES & ITEMS DETAILS on ebay.co.uk using Safari v2.0.3?

admittedly I've switched to an iMac 20" MacIntel from a TiBook G4/800, however this seems to be browser related.

If I use Firefox v1.5.0.1 it works fine with the 'enter pics & items' screen, in particular the LISTING DESIGNER pull down menus. Safari doesnt change when selected, yet firefox gives you the various category templates when selected.

anyone else noticed or solved this?

Same problem here with Intel iMac and Safari 2.0.3.
After selecting the image to be uploaded and hitting the proceed button I am transfered to the ebay homepage - no picture upload.

( cribs from another forum post - not having a macintel himself....)

Quit safari

Go to your applications folder ( click once on the desktop to switch to Finder, click on 'Go" & choose 'Applications' )

Locate 'Safari' , ctrl-click ( or right click, if you've a 2-button mouse) it with the mouse & choose 'get info' from the contextual menu that pops up.

In the get info window , there's an option to have Safari run under Rosetta; choose this option.

Start Safari again.

don't despair if that doesn't fix it - I'm sure there'd be many more posts here if no-one could use ebay with a macintel & safari

10.4.5 update appears to be poison on ebay.co.uk on PowerPc too - I get on average a crash every two minutes in browse.

Using Camino now, no crashes....................

Odd - I get no problems at all with ebay.co.uk. browsing's fine, uploading pictures is fine, listing designer is fine.

I know that uploading from safari doesn't work if caching is turned off - either by using a safari enhancer type app or by manually locking safari's cache folder ( exactly the same thing, actually).

Using 10.4.5 & safari 2.0.3 ( same for any 10.4.5 installation, I imagine)

Which doesn't help you much (sorry), except it's not an automatic 10.4.5 = No ebay thing.

I was fine until last night, then it all went wrong - just can't fix it at the moment , and I'm rather enjoying Camino's "Instant Page Rendering".

Safari has seemed to get slower and slower in Tiger at every update (for me) with frequent beachballs when using multiple tabs (which also seems to be the scenario with ebay crashes...) so I'm going to stick with Camino for now.
