I have a 2005 Power Mac G5 Duo 2.5 Gigahertz computer which will not boot up. When I turn it on, the power light does not light up, nor does it show a flashing light signal. Soon after the fans start up they become loud. I tried reseting the smu, installed new memory, zaped the PRAM, and gave it some time. Those things helped me before, But not now. PLEASE HELP ME!

Fixed. All i needed to do was the hair dryer trick. Thanks for all of the people referencing the trick.
Yep 70°C is about the breaking point, have you blown the dust out from under the RAM Area of the Logic board?
I will try it without removing the Logic board.
I did the hair dryer trick by sliding the hair dryer side to side but that, still, did not work. I will try canned air once I get some.
Good news, when I do the hair dryer trick and when it powers up, I use a fan to keep it cool.
I stand currected as the kernel panic screen poped up after I sent the last message.
Well, we need more cooling somehow... I find canned air not only riduculously expensive, tantamount to dehydrated water, but ineffective as well, I use a 100 psi copmpessor from an auto supply store that cost $79, but likely did more/far better cleaning than 1,000 cans of $10 canned air so far!
I will NOT dissemble the computer. Too much work. I will also not pay $79 or $10,000 to make this thing work, but, so far, so good.🙂

By "dead", I'd meen that it stopped working.
And that it will power up once I do the HD trick (HD=Hair Dryer)
If you leave it on does it keep running?
Nope, when the temp. reaches to 72.9°C, it stops running.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. 😟
Does it do that even if you choose Reduced Processor settings?
