Domain.sites2 will not open after Lion install

After installing Lion and performing all of the updates and upon clicking on our Domain.sites2 file, iWeb opens with the original "create a new website" screen and it won't load the actual Domain.sites2 file.

I've tried following other threads of running disk utlilites, deleting the app, removing .plist files and performing a reinstall with updates and to avail no luck!

After looking at the [ - library/application support path ] it seems that the iWeb folder is no longer present. Even after adding a iWeb folder manually and inserting the original Domain.sites.2 file, it still won't work.

Does anyone have a "solid" fix for this?

Yes, i am running iWeb 3 but need to have separate files as i work with teachers and then we move the domains to their computers for future work. As you mention, when the files get big, it becomes a problem. And, just as a matter of organization, I like to keep separate projects separate.

I also did your chflags suggestion - was the library file under home previously hidden? (I hadn't noticed!) So thank you for that too.

Also, just curious, when I go to the site below, thinking to suggest to some others about iweb switch domain, it basically leads me back to this discussion and your link to the complied version. When I tried the complied version I got the error "OSSstatus errror -67049" would be great if there were a complied version which worked with Mountain Lion for those less daring than I to do script.
