Going to be hard, seems like you worked very hard to make sure you did not back up your data.

What kind of data in particular did you lose?

Kiss the data goodbye - unless some of the lost data is content purchased from the iTunes store such as music, books, and apps.

You can directly scan and recover lost data from iphone 4s after accidental restore

    1) Connect your iPhone to the computer

    2) Enter DFU mode and scan iPhone

    3) Preview and recover iPhone photo

As long as you don’t disable the automatic sync option in iTunes, it will automatically generate a backup for your iOS device when you plug your device into your Mac or PC, and the backup file updates along with your every sync. So it is certainly sure and easy to restore iPhone from iTunes backup with Vibosoft iTunes data recovery. That is, you can recover your iPhone/iPad/iPod data from the recent iTunes backup whenever the data is missing.

If you have selected for iTunes to create and maintain the backup, the backup is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process regardless if automatic syncing is enabled when the iPhone is connected. Automatic syncing not being enabled does not prevent the backup from being updated as the first step when syncing.

If you have synced your iPhone 4s to iTunes on a computer before and have not synced it after you lost all your data, you can get them back. But iTunes can't help. You need to get a third party iPhone data recovery software like iTunes Data Recovery, which helped you recover lost data on iPhone 4s after accidental restore. You can give it a shot! Get it from CNET Download.

As far as I know, it is NOT possible.

So, have you accidentally deleted them from your iPhone? I did the same thing a couple weeks a go. Here is the solution I found:
If you have back up your data, you can restore from the backup.
Look at this tutorial from Apple:

Even from a factory restore? That's new to me.

It's theoretically possible with (expensive) forensic recovery software. For all practical purposes, that data is gone.
