BTW, BOOM enhances the internal speaker volume. So it is much louder for videos, Youtube, music, etc. It's the one app you will need to solve all your volume needs.
Yes Boom works. I just didn't want to have to pay for it.
Maybe he found the volume button and has to now type in caps to be heard...
Michael
Go for the app called boom. I'm currently using it and lovin' it!
Could you please elaborate your query?
Also, they are providing with the beta builds. Please contact their Support Team for the same. http://www.globaldelight.com/contact/contactus.php
Hi Erniegy,
Boom sounds great!
Do provide your feedback on Hear too.
Also, the new version of Boom is out in Mac App Store, which is incorporated with the audio realted fixes in Mavericks.
Thank You for answers. My hearing is poor. Full volume is not great enough to play my music CDs for friends. I see there is input for sound--an external speaker or some more amplification?
You can buy any set of powered PC speakers and connect them to your Mac's audio output.
Matt
Did you try this? http://osxdaily.com/2012/05/18/equalizer-for-all-audio-mac-os-x/

Hey mate,
Download a program called Boom 2. It can enhance Mac speakers past their capacity.
Cool.
Jim
Thanks for this! I am testing Sling TV this weekend, running it through my laptop. Needed to turn up the volume so I could hear it over the air conditioner. Works great!
freeware ??? apple ought to be fixing this with a simple update !!
someone somewhere in Apple is making money off of BOOM (and others) to keep this problem unresolved
This discussion started in 2012 and yet people are still responding.
And this is a Mac Pro forum yet we still have the Mac Book Pro users chiming in.
Yikes.
