Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I submitted the online application to upload my iBook and never received an authorization email. it isn't in my inbox nor in my spam box. how long does this typically take to receive? when i try to sign in on iTunes Connect I receive the error message "Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect." thoughts?

I got approved. Apparently apple figured out their end and it worked. I am now waiting for my book to show up in store. It's called "Melodic Expressions: The Art of the Line" it is an advanced guitar instructional on improvising.
With over 187 high quality audio files all embedded within the book.

I've had the same problem: Applied for a paid books account early May, haven't heard anything in 3 weeks. Just sent a help request to ibookstore@apple.com, hope this will get things moving again. Don't want to use the work around of submitting another application based on a second account for the same individual - would make things more complicated later on...
Sounds like obtaining the ISBN will be the next issue after getting the account in the first place. Strange that one would need to pay so much for ISBN numbers which are of little to no use for eBooks?
