God, I am so relieved that I'm not alone in this!

I've had a weekend and a day of anxiety and near panic.

All my graphic apps refuse to save and crash.

But I'm glad it's an Apple thing and not my machine.

I've got the same Macbook Pro and specs.

What would be good is some step by step instructions

for a non-techy person like me.

Re: Security Update 2012- version 1.1

Can anyone tell me how to see whether I have installed the new version 1.1? I am sure that I had NOT, and only have the original Version 1.0, but today (2/7/12) SOFTWARE UPDATES reports that I am all up to date, and nothing new is available. If someone has only Update 2012 V1.0, should SOFTWARE UPDATE be smart enough to tell you that Update 2012 V1.1 is available?

I just used the stand alone installer for the v 1.1 security update on my Mac Pro. (I never ran the original version after reading the discussions here.) All my software is working fine.

When I check the Installed Software list, it shows the update, but there is no version number listed, it's just blank.

I reinstalled the update to see if that would add the version number. The install appears twice in the list but there is still no version number shown for either. I guess this doesn't matter.

I'm curious if others who used the stand alone installer have a blank version number in the Installed Software list.
