10.7.3 no wifi connection after wakeup

Since 10.7.3 update, I have to manually reconnect to my WiFi network at every Wakeup from sleep.

It WILL try to connect by itself, but it will quit trying after 6-8 seconds.

The WiFi icon in the menu bar will then remain gray until I click on it and manually choose my WiFi network.

It DOES reconnect automatically upon Restart, though.

My WiFi network comes from a third generation Time Capsule, with the most recent updates applied.

Had no such problem yesterday in 10.7.2.

Yup, same problem as all of you. Airport not connecting automatically to my time capsule after upgrading to 10.7.3. I had a similar problem a while back. Apple said to delete 3 plist files in /Library/Preferences/System Configuration: com.apple.airport.preference.plist , Network Interfaces.plist , and preferences.plist. After moving them to Trash, empty the Trash. Restart. Then, open system preferences menu, then network. Click WiFI, then open the little sub menu to set service order, drag WiFi to the top, OK, Apply.

Worked several months ago when I had this problem. But no effect now. Maybe it'll help someone else though.

I run an iMac Core I7. Interestingly, no problem with my Core 2 Duo MBP.

Go figure.

I have exactly the same problem since the 10.7.3 update, except I have another quite annoyeing problem, too: Even when wifi is connected Safari (5.1.3) has to think for minutes to find a website - if it finds anything at all.

It simply denies to work. And it has nothing to do with wifi-setup. I tested with Firefox and Chrome. Both worked very well all conditions equal.

I must point out I am quite bored with Apple while now for several months having to reboot and read these never ending discussions insted of being produktive and creative.

Sooner or later I will be forced to choose a leap back to Snow Leopard, or even back to Windows 7. Not so sexy, but quite reliable compared to the old tired lion.

I know I should offer some kind kind of help here, but the only secure and safe advice I can think of for now - and one Apple might learn from - is:Crave back Your time and leave the platform!

STrange I have had no issues on my 2008 iMac running Lion but my 2007 Mac Book (The Black one) since upgrading to Lion wakes from sleep and never logs back into my AP Extreme (5GHz) untill you click the Wifi icon at the top right of the screen then it logs in.

Since 10.7.3 the Macbook reconnects to 5GHz Wifi every time within a second or two tops seconds (not as fast and Snow Leopard did though)

I have the exact the same problem as the original poster, however I am just using a "2Wire.Gateway" router from AT&T. Called apple support twice but nothing they tried resolved the issue.

Problem occured since updating from 10.7.2 -> 10.7.3.

I told them I would try installing the 10.7.3 combo update, and then call them back tomorrow, basically so they can send the problem on to their engineers...

This is my first iMac, I still use a Windows7 laptop. If apple wants to keep pushing this image of being less buggy and working much better than PC's I think they may need to try a little harder. I'm not impressed with the number of issues OSX Lion has. Given the sandboxed nature of the OS as well as the limited variations of hardware they have to program for (compared to windows), my expectations were a little higher than this. While not nearly is pretty as OSX, Windows7 was incredibly stable and reliable.

I am having the same problem on my week old iMac. I had no problems whatsoever on OSX 10.7.2 but after the upgrade to 10.7.3 I too am not able to auto connect to WiFi after waking up from 'Sleep' mode.

I have tried the combo install after the 10.7.3 update but that did not fix the problem.

I have found that if i bring the iMac out of Sleep mode using the power button as was mentioned earlier in this thread, Everything works normally but when i use the mouse or keyboard the problem re-occurs.

I have tried all of the fixes mentioned on other threads but nothing has worked so far!

I hope the problem is resolved soon!
