10.7.3 - late 2011 iMac - update broke returning from sleep and connecting to wi-fi...

Installed the update and what wasn't a problem is now a problem.

The computer will not connect to wifi without me telling it to after coming out of sleep. Was not an issue with 10.7.2.

My post and fix by repairing permission is not the whole story, maybe not even relevant.

I've had the failure to connect a couple of times; but then I again select my network and my iMac connects on waking. I've ran verify permissions a couple of times and even though the permnissions are incorrect on

Permissions differ on “usr/lib/ruby”; should be lrwxr-xr-x ; they are drwxr-xr-x , I still connect.

So I just live with this until Apple fixes the problem whatever it is.

Does seem to work for me, too. I have been through all the other "fixes" on the various threads and none of those took care of the problem with connecting via wifi automatically after waking from sleep. This patch from Apple does! I can wake with the bluetooth keyboard or the trackpad, or BT mouse and it connects in less than 1 sec. every time (like it is supposed to!). Frustration over!
