Garageband doesn't start up, since Pro Tools is installed

O dear... 😟

Last week I bought a Digidesign Factory 003 mixer and installed ProTools 9.

Seems some things have gone seriously wrong: so far I can't work with ProTools and tonight I discovered Garageband (iLife 11) no longer starts up.

The icon keeps bouncing but the programm does not respond. When I force quit a lengthy report appears.

Is there a Genius in the house ?

I don't understand a thing of what goes on in the machine compartment so a helping hand would be very much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Digi products are notorious for not playing well with others. They are getting better but this stuff still happens. I don't like or use pro-tools but in this case I really think you should try to get 003 working with Pro-Tools and not worry about Garageband. The 003 and PT have tight integration and would make for a pro class DAW.

Now not working with Garageband I think you may have to download a new driver check the digi site. If that doesn't work I have heard of people reinstalling Garageband but I think the driver will do the trick.

Thanks! All drivers are up to date & and I've reïnstalled Garageband. It did not help.

Not worry about Garageband? That's software I bought and use to make podcasts and other things! ProTools & the 003 are desperately needed for my work.

Someone asked me if everything is as it should concerning my Audio/MIDI configuration. Oops. I have no idea.

This is what it looks like. Does that seems allright?
