finder doesn't reopen all windows on restart

In Snow Leopard, when restarting, the Finder would remember the multiple windows I had open before restart and reopen those windows. Since getting my new Macbook Pro with Lion, the Finder now remembers only one or two of the windows that were open when restarting. (And yes, the "Reopen windows when logging back in" checkbox has not been unchecked.)

Sorry if it wasn't clear. I'm only concerned with the Finder. Since I typically close (non-Finder) windows and quit all applications whenever I restart the machine, I don't have much use for the function with regard to anything other than the Finder.

Regardless, I think I'm resigned to simply make aliases (alii?) of my open finder windows before shutting down or restarting, as I did before Leopard, until this gets fixed in future upgrades.

Thanks again for your attention.
