music videos won't stream from iCloud

Is anybody having issues with Music Videos not streaming to AppleTV? everything else works from the cloud to the unit (TV shows, audio tracks etc) but when trying to watch a music video stored in the cloud (any music video) I just get the spinning wheel??? has worked fine before, have also reinstalled the AppleTV from default incase it was settings with no luck. Everything plays apart from music vids 😟

Hi Chuck

Sort of an update for you. 😟

Spent hour on phone to sp,e top level engineer kinda guy ?? Going through various trouble shooting issues as you do when you know fulkl well there is nothing wrong you end 🙂

He believes the problem lays with my Itunes account, however after bringing you into the equation there was an element of silence.

Apparently someone is looking into my account, I advised them to check the server for my account lol

I am very impatient when it comes to goods and services I have paid for lol so I also went into Apple store Genius Bar again they were puzzled by the problem and yes your have guessed it, its been raised again to a higher power to investigate.

HOWEVER at my level there has been changes which blatiently point to server issues, I have been able to on occations download some of my music videos from the cloud using the Music app on my iphone and ipad aswell as AppleTV, only about 2-3 from a collection of over 300 (like my music videos 🙂 ) but one thing I did find that puzzled me even more !! if you go into Itunes App on Iphone or Pad and select the purchased section you can redownload EVERY music video file straight away with no problem, so the files are there, they are available and can be downloaded HOWEVER if you do it from the Music app or AppleTV it dies on its a**???

Im no major techy, but leads me to believe there is a different service or server embedded in the Music app & AppleTV than the Itunes App it self???

Something is definatly NOT right 😟

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your update....despite no progress being made. I too can play iTunes Music videos if I re-download my purchases to my iPhone or iPad...but then they play from the device and not iCloud. I am categorically unable to play any music videos from AppleTV. Further, today my Apple TV asked me re-submit my password info...and then I got a perpetual spinning icon with the message "Loading iCloud"when I tried accessing the Music Videos. iClould failed to load at all, and I have the same issue on all 3 of my Apple TV's.

The fellow Winston has commented on this thread that he thinks Apple is aware of the problem, but there is no evidence that they have acknowledged it and they certain haven't passed info to their tech support folks.

I suspect many more folks have this issue than is reflected here, but like us...they feet the problem is on their end.

I suggest we ALL SPREAD THE WORD to have folks call to compalin and get case numbers, as it appears from my calls that this issue is not yet publicized enough to have Apple take it seriously. Each person I speak to, despite 5 case #'s, knows nothing. I've yet to receive a call back from anyone after the case is escalated up. I don't know about you, but I purchased extra storage space on iCloud and purchased 3 Apple TV's, and I'm not getting equal value.

One of iTunes solutions was to set my account up to automatically download all my purchases as a gesture of good will !!!!!, seriously do they not read emails and actually understand a fault ?? its not that I can download them !! I already have them locally I just cant play them trough appletv !! Sort the cloud out not send me 300 duplicates.
