What size font are you using? Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and see what the Minimum Font Size you are using. If you are using larger than Medium, this could explain the overlap.......
I don't recall seeing this. Could you post a screenshot? You can do this by pressing the sleep/button and the home button at the same time. It will put a screenshot in your camera roll.
In general, though, the thing to do if you experience strange behavior like this is to quit the Mail app, then reboot your iPad:
To reboot your iPad, hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears. If, during this process, a slider appears on the screen to power it off, ignore it and keep holding the buttons down.
Report back on whether this fixed it.
If you turn Large Text "off" there is no overlap whatsoever, or you can choose 20, or 24 and the overlap is negligible, but a bit easier to see. Anything above 24 and it starts to get really garbled and unreadable, which is unfortunate because the whole purpose is to make it more " accessible " for vision impaired people. Apple really needs to address this issue!!! What good is Large Text if its a jumbled mess??!!
Or check Settings>General>Accessibility>Large Text>On. You can have it set up to 56pt type in there and that may be throwing this out of whack. I think that is the problem.
Thank you
Thank you

Thnx for your Accessability/Font suggestion. It helped me too.
Cheers,
P.S. How do I add a green check or orange star to your comment? I don't see any yes/no button, or rating button anywhere. Using my IPad 2.

Only the OP can do that.
