Installing problems with XDCAM EX log and transefer plugin 120

I have Final cut 7 installed on mac book pro. I have to install XDCAM EX log and transefer plugin 120.dmg to be able to import SonyXDcam files in FCP. When I try and select the drive to install the program on it gives the caution error and tells me: " SONY XDCAM log and transfer plug in cant be installed on this disk. Final cut 6.0.3 or higher is recommended for this software." I have no idea what to do as I clearly have a new enough version to run it and it is a brand new laptop. I runs fine on previous versions of this system we have set up. Has anyone run into this before or have any idea as to what might be occuring?

Final Cut Pro 7, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Mac Book Pro for mobile editing

Are you sure you have the latest versions from sony

Yeah that's the version I am working with, I've tried it from both the canadian and american sites to see if it was getting lost in dowload maybe but it all gets this same problem. Thanks for the response though.

I am having the same problem. I have tried to install the XDCAM EX Log and Transfer plugin from Sony and it WILL NOT let me install it even thought my version of FCP is 7.0.3

***?!?!?!

Anyone know of a solution? Is there a .pref file I need to delete or something?
