Printing Powerpoint slides with room for notes

I have a Macbook and I use Keynote. My professors use Powerpoint and it makes it difficult to print out presentations for class. Is there any way I can print out the presentation with 3 slides per page and room for notes?

Keynote >File >Print >Handout - select the number of slides per page and to include the Presenter's Notes, etc.

I recommend leaving out the background color option if printer ink is an issue. The handouts can also be saved as a PDF.
