"Find my iPhone" in a purchased second hand iPhone

Thanks for reading.

I just purchased a second hand iPhone and after all the setup and I was wondering if the previous

owner use the "Find my iPhone" feature, it would locate my device?

I had sell a few iPhones before and I always delete them on iTunes/My Accound/Manage Devices,

but I can't know for sure if the previous owner had done that.

There's somebody with knowledge about this issue? (if it is an issue at all).

Thanks for your time.

How did you initially set this phone up? If the previous owner didn't, you should have either first restored it as a "New" device in iTunes or on the phone itself: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. If you have not done this or the previous owner didn't, you need to do so. This will return the phone to a state just like it was when first taken out of the box. You can then name it what you want & sync whatever you like to it. All traces of the previous owner will be gone.

Hi wjosten.

I restored the new iPhone from a backup of my old device. All old settings and info is gone.

But the "Find my iPhone" app (or icloud.com) uses the Apple ID to search for your devices. If the previous

owner try to use this app, they would find my device? I concerned for my privacy. You can manually remove a device from you "ownership" in iTunes, but what happens if you dind't that.
