Uploaded the book several days ago and haven't seen it yet.

If this is your upload, it may take a while. New iAuthor files are taking a while on their own. I know the waiting period can be nerveracking. Others on the forum feel the same way. - Fabe

    Free or paid?

Be patient in any case....consider that there is a spike in the number of book submittals right now, and things my take longer than before, etc.

Keep checking the store and watch your email for any notices.

    Good luck w/your book(s).

My guess is that Apple has an agreement with the Publishers currently showing in the iTunes Textbook area to have their material shown for a specified period of time before other content shows up there.

With that being said, there are other iBook Author submissions located in various places in the iTunes store.

    It's paid. Thanks, K T.

Tell us how long when you are approved. I am up to 9 days waiting for approval and still counting.

Only three days for me so far. I'll let you know when it's approved.

I just uploaded two books last night.  Both uploaded correctly.  In Manage My Books, both read "(RED DOT) Not on 2 Stores.  I figure it should take about a week.

When I signed up for itunes connect, I had to wait about the same time.

Let us know when you get approved.

24 days and waiting on one of my titles.

  • rdadarwala Level 1 (0 points)

    14 days...still nothing.

  • MrBones Level 1 (0 points)

    18 days for me.

My title has actually been in limbo for much longer. It took them like seven days+ to let me know what the "unknown' issue was. Took me five minutes to fix and re-up it. If they found another issue that they don't like I am expecting it to be a fix this > wait weeks > fix that wait weeks, rinse and repeat. I'm done with iBooks Author until this process is more refined or they have enough support bodies to actually answer support emails. I know if the company I work for handled support this way I would be looking for another job.

My ibook Author book took about 15 days for approval. It did finally get approved without any problems.

Talking to a support person from iTunesConnect on the App side (there apparently is an wall between itunesconnect apps and itunesconnect ibookstore), he told me that the iboostore has NO support phonenumber and they are very understaffed. He gave me to emails to try:

    ebookquery@apple.com

    ibookstore@apple.com

I have no idea if they work, as I have not gotten any messages back from them. However, if any Apple exutive is monitor these forums, they might want to consider adding some people to 1) improve tech help with iBook Author, 2) approve the initial account faster, and 3) review and approve the iBook faster.

It is very frustrating to have to deal with weeks and weeks of waiting or never get a reply back about a question or concern.
