There used to be a little calendar that appeared when I hit the little top button on the mouse.
Where did it go?

Check your mouse settings in System Preferences > Mouse

the mouse top button is set to dashboard.
The language translator and calculator still appear but the calendar has evaporated since upgrading to Snow Leopard.

I found myself in the same situation once. The answer you're looking for is the Calendar widget was renamed to iCal.wdgt in Snow Leopard. 😉
Do you have a backup you could restore the widgit from?
