How to daisy chain thunderbolt devices with only one port

I am using a macbook pro with one thunderbolt port. Quite a few thunderbolt devices have only a single thunderbolt port (don't support daisy chaining).

Does anyone know of a thuderbolt hub that adds additional thunderbolt ports?

If such a product does not yet exist, is it at least technically possible?

Thanks!

What I really need is an easily portable dual-port thunderbolt hard drive. I need that because: a. I have a MacPro, hence often cart my workaround b. need a high speed, portable expansion drive for creative work and c. I've got a non-thunderbolt display, which is useful when I'm working from my desk, and I don't feel like spending $999 just to get a port. Hence, if I can only get single port thunderbolt drives, I have a problem.

Any solutions? I'll pay extra just to get the port, but not $999.
