Ipod Touch 4th White Screen!!!

I have an ipod touch 4th Generation, and one day it froze up and turned to a white screen. I have already tried the home button and power button trick, and that didnt work. It also said that if it didnt work to restore it to factory settings, but it wont show up in itunes so that i can do that. Help?

iPad 2, iOS 5, Different iTunes accounts?

Hi

I just had this happen today as well, not the first time either!

I also tried the home/off button as well without any joy. When I Googled the problem it also said to try volume up/home/off at the same time - that still didn't work.

When I checked it after a couple of hours it was showing the battery was dead, I put it on the dock rather than attaching it to the laptop and I've just found it working fine.

I've also deleted the app that we're pretty sure was causing it to fallover.

Hope that helps!

Lol, it's funny how we can all have the same problems with our stuff, and still nobody really knows why it happens...

Anyway, all I did was wait for the battery to drain, just a couple of hours, which was kinda weird since I had just fully charged the battery when this happened, (I was expecting the battery to die in like a day or two).

I also erased the app that crashed just before my screen when blank. It was "Brothers In Arms" by the way, so don't download it.

So, I hope anybody else who has this problem won't freak out too much and just let the battery drain until that darn white screen comes off...

Thanks!
