I have even had the problem that the message did not dissapear anymore (even if pushing 50 times "ok"). I had to reinstall my iphone (4s). One trick that worked is that i deleted some photo's on the photostream via Aperture, so to free up some space. Fortunately i had a full backup via iCloud so everything reinstalled automaticly.
So Nick you had to restore the phone to the factory settings then do a restore to get your info back on the phone? That is what worked for you? I just want to be sure that is what you did and worked before I take those measures myself.
I tried to turn off photo stream and then re-enable it. That didn't work for me.
Anyone else have this issue??
Thanks!
Hi,
Indeed, i had to (and restored) my iphone from the cloud and everything worked fine again. Though, i switched off photo-stream because the messages started coming back (not like before so that my iPhone would block again, but i didnt want to risc the same situation again). Thus at this moment i dont have a solution, but i think this should be Apple to find a resolution for this problem.
Nick,
I agree, it would be nice if I could get Apple to look into this. I'm out of my warranty period so I don't know how to get any kind of support from them. I also find it strange that no one else is reporting this issue. I've searched and can only find this thread. With only 4 people participating it worries me that it's not common. I did see the there were hundreds of views, that could be a 'good' sign.
Thanks
Hi iMinerGeek,
I would be really surprised if we were the only 4-5 people with this problem... I guess there will be more... and in the end Apple will pick it up i think once everybody starts to complain... Let's hope soon lot more people start reporting problems... 🙂 Cheers!
Having the same problem. Really, really, really frustrating. Bugs me if Apple would need to hear 100 people have the problem before they'll care. I need to use my iPad and I can't with this stupid message constantly popping up.
Okay, I've turned off Photo Stream on every single Apple product I own. Fortunately my phone hadn't started popping these continuous messages, so I can still use it. But my iPad is useless now because every 30 seconds I get 8-10 messages in a row. And on the day before an important client meeting. Thanks, Apple. 😟
I guess the only solution now is to completely switch off photo-stream... untill Apple finds a solution... or another solution could be to use another app for syncing pictures/movies on iphone/ipad/etc...
I also have this problem. I had it on my iPhone 5 for a few weeks, and "solved" it by powering my phone off and on. This solved it for 12 hours, or so. But, today, the problem started occurring on my iPad, and it is even worse. You see, although I could do nothing else on my iPhone because the message wouldn't go away, I could still work the slide to power off strip. Not so on my iPad. So, I'm stuck with an error message, and can't even turn it off. Mostly chiming in here to emphasize that it is indeed likely more than just 4 or 5 people having this issue, and hoping that increased numbers will bring Apple closer to providing a solution
Has anyone tried to send this issue to Apple? I'm not sure how to do it. I had to turn off my iPhone, iPad and iMac phtostreaming. Which means I don't get it on my iTV either!
Has anyone else with this problem upgraded their current device from an older device? I did on all except for the iPad or iTV. I wonder if it's a glitch that is due to old settings carried over??
In my case, occurd same problem after uploaded about 31,000 photos at Macmini(aperture library).
I guess that the reason why so many pictures were uploaded to Photo Stream.
Photo Stream of MAC OS X has pictures in 30 days.
If many pictures were uploaded in shorttime(ex. 1~2days), photo stream reached limit.
I recomend you, turned off device recent that added many picture.
Same issue here. Started a cole days ago. Now it's out of control! like ranghoon, I imported ablot 48000 old pics into iPhoto on my iMac. I understand this is the cause, but why so many error messages. Send me one and be done with it!
I'm wondering if they have fixed this. We have been getting these messages for several weeks after moving all our digital photos to a new Mac (50k+ photos). Suddenly today they stopped. Is any one else still getting the limit message?
I uploaded a ton of photos this month on my iMac. I only get this error on my iPhone and it happens all the time and keeps popping up multiple times after I dismiss it. It's really annoying and makes my iPhone practically useless.
