HOW TO PURCHASE THE RIGHT MEMORY?
I have an EARLY 2009 WHITE MACBOOK 2.0 (MacBook5,2). I've found that Apple's Memory Modules are way to expensive. I've found 2 alternatives & could use your input.
1. CRUCIAL MEMORY
Module Size: 4GB kit (2GBx2)
Package: 200-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR2 PC2-5300
Specs: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64
2. KINGSTON MEMORY
4GB 667MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 SODIMM (Kit of 2)
Standard 256M X 64 Non-ECC 667MHz 200-pin Unbuffered SODIMM (DDR2, 1.8V, CL5)
Would you guys recommend using either of these products? My warranty has finally run it's course and I feel it's time to take a chance & upgrade my Hardware in hopes of having a smoother running system (not that it's not running smooth now). Obviously I'm concerned with price but not to the point where I will risk damaging my MacBook. Lastly, if you guys don't recommend either product, which one would you recommend? Thanks guys!
