iCal error server with secure communication unavailable

When I try to setup my iCloud or Google with iCal I receive the following message: "server with secure communication unavailable". Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thank you.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

I fixed it. Just use the old method(ical 3) rather than the new one (ical 5+).

Follow the instructions for ical 3, using the Caldav method instead of selecting google.

The only tricky part is when you put your user name in don't add the @gmail.com.

BUT

Add it in the URL just as it asks for, in the secondary field for the Caldav server.

I can't beleive a thousand ppl have had this problem and no one else tried this. Enjoy folks I hope I saved you some headache.

Hi I think I have tried this correctly but it just doesn't work for me I am replacing with:

https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user//www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user

my company email address and I have tried with /user at the end and without and am not using gmail but still no go, I have just upgraded to Air and its driving me crackers that this no longer works.

Any other suggestions welcome :/
