when using airplay can only get sound, no picture.

Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

According to the latest communique from Sky, they claim this 'problem' was caused by a firmware update from Apple, and is nothing to do with Sky!!!

Apple introduced an update in an earlier firmware version which prevents a number of applications on your Apple device working when connected to your TV using a cable.

Yes, so far as I am aware, Sky Go does not work with AirPlay, I suspect Sky have no intention of enabling the feature.
