canon cmfp printer driver error window

Hey there.

Just picked up the Canon MF8350Cdn Multi-function printer. It works great for the most part but there is one VERY annoying issue.

I dragged the printer to my desktop for drag-and-drop usage. When I drag multiple files to the printer it sends and prints them fine but for every file an error window pops up and then goes away a second later. Its not actually affecting the job but it is SO OBNOXIOUS. In the time it took me to type this message ive had to stop and hit okay about 20 times. Not kidding. ****. Just happened again. HELP PLEASE!

Thanks in advance.

-E.

PS Im running snow leopard with all updates inc printer drivers etc.

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I went as far as making sure that the Canon is plugged into the wireless router so that there's no switch that might be causing the issue.

Thanks for supplying that information. All looks in order, apart from both showing Stopped.

One other flag. I notice that both printer names are 10.15.20.105. This is the default name that will be created for an IP printer, based on the IP address entered when creating the printer. In your other post you said the IP address for the printer was 192.168.1.105. Just wondering why it has changed?

Do you know anyone that is / are able to use their MAC wirelessly with this Canon that is networked via Ethernet?

I do now... Me. Today I connected the MF8380C to my DLink wireless router via Ethernet. Then on the 10.6.8 Mac, I connected to the DLink via wifi and added the printer (using Bonjour) and was able to print.

I will keep testing this setup but just wanted to let you know that the wifi to Ethernet works.
