iPhone IOS5 Contact Handeling (Limit)?

I have posted before about this but haven't been clear enough I'm afraid. I have narrowed down the fact that with the new IOS5 there is some sort of contact limitation or difference in how this IOS5 handles contacts with Exchange as compared to IOS4. The user I am working with has over 8,000 contacts (culled down from 13,000 believe it or not).

When using an iphone with IOS5 (4 or 4s), working within contacts spikes my exchange server and destroys my backups due to some sort of communication between the iphone and the exchange server. I have other users with devices with IOS5 (myself included) and don't have any problems. The most they have from a user count is 600 (as opposed to 8,000).

My questions are:

1) Did apple change the way the contacts sync/handle with exchange 2007 with IOS5?

2) Is there a contact limit with the new IOS5?

3) As a last resort is there a way to put IOS4 on device that already has IOS5 on it? I could always backload the device and go back to the old OS that last worked.

Thank you in advance.

Well, personal insult is exactly the air I'm getting from everyone today, and not just from this thread...Did I tell anyone to do anything destructive? NO. The only things I actually suggested here was to do the local sync through iTunes workaround, and submit feedback to apple and hope that someday someone fixes it, or at least identifies who's at fault! That, and if you have an in to MS, go that route also....BTW...I usually do know what I'm talking about....

Unfortunately this does sound like a different issue from what I (and other's I have talked to now) are having. It does sound like something just isn't "clicking" with ActiveSync. In my issue ActiveSync is working for a period of time and then all **** breaks loose on the device causing all of the synced contacts to multiply. Some of them multiply in the hundreds causing the total number of contacts to go from 7,000 to 90,000 over a period of days. Not to mention it cripples the exchange server due to this massive amount of data moving back and forth on a steady basis.

I agree with the statement earlier about apple people not reading these forums. I have another thread that I originally started before this one which wasn't as concise. It clearly shows people experiencing the exact same issue over and over again. Still no response from Apple (I even submitted a call to support and tested it with another device and another exchange account to prove the problem was strictly OS related and there wasn't a corrupt device or exchange account).

GOOD LUCK!!!
