iPad will not receive gmail

Hi,

I have had my gmail accounts on my ipad from day one. I just logged on to wifi and was able to send mail but nothing arrives on the incoming mail. I used my android phone at the same time and was able to get all my new mail but the ipad still shows it was last updated a week ago.

I have not touched any settings recently.

Any advice?
