printers problem richo aficio 1022

Hi guys,

I have lots of problems with that printer (Ricoh Aficio 1022).

It's a network printer and the drivers from the producer web site dosen't work (one page with some words and lots of blank pages).

I tried Gutenprint (rel 5.2.7), but the printer it's still in standby.

So I tried pxlomono - foomatic, but can't see the driver.

I need use duplex.

Can anyone help me ?

wich protocol I need to use ? (IPP, LP od HP Jectdireck socket)

Thanks!

aldo

P.S.: If someone resolve my problem, I will send soma good italian red wine (barolo)!

If there are Windows computers printing to the copier, their default connection will be using Port 9100. This is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on the Mac so please use this for the protocol.

If you are having trouble with locating the pxlmono drivers then as a test you can select the Generic PCL Laser Printer driver that is included with Lion. This driver only prints in black & white but it does support duplex printing. If this works then we can look at why you cannot locate the pxlmono driver.
