I have a Canoscan 3200 but I cant seem to be able to scan after upgrading to OS X 7.03. Can anyone help please as I need to scan something urgently and I cant afford to buy another scanner.

You need to install the scanner driver to use Canoscan Toolbox. And make sure you are booting into the Snow Leopard HD rather than trying to open the Canoscan software on the 10.6 HD after booting into to Lion.
Pahu, this is what happened, i on the machine by pressing the alt key and 2 hard drives appeared one is the macintosh hd and the second one the external hd so i press the external hd. Next i opened the safari and download the scanner software and drive cstb4502mxen and install the scanner driver on this external hd. FYI, i have also upgraded to OS X 10.6.08 but unfortunately when i tried scanning it says Failed to open. I browsed through some of other people query and find that some ppl here says that they have to go to the application/library/preference/cano xxxx to erase some file there and some says it has to do with library/plist. May i have your opinion please.
Pahu, thanks a million. Finally, i am able to use the scanner on os x 10.6.08. I have uninstall the scanner driver and reinstalled again numerous times and finally bingo!! Really appreciate people like you here to guide helpless people like me.
