I think there maybe an app that you can use to do that.

but you can also take a snap shot of your text then email it to yourself and then print it out.

You failed to mention that the App costs $29.00

It's the solution that works for me, others may offer solutions that cost less or are free. But you asked for a suggestion, and that's my suggestion. You may choose another.

I will not consider it a failure because the price is right there on their web page, nobody is deceived and it's your choice to refuse to pay.

I know what my time is worth and the application has saved me more than $29 of that so in my view I came out ahead. Others may strongly prefer something free even if it's more difficult; that is a free choice for them to make. Kind of like how I made the choice to pay more for a Mac, even when so many told me I was wasting a heck of a lot more than $29 since Windows machines are cheaper.

If you do find a cheaper or free solution, I'd be happy to read about it here and maybe switch to it in the future.

First, the price is not "right there". The price is not mentioned until you download the program but let's not quibble. It is a matter of opinion as to why you did not mention the price of $29.00 for the App you recommended. Yes, it might work perfectly well for you and you probably utilize it quite often. But for the occasional user it is an expensive App.

May I suggest for the occasional user of wanting to print out some text messages I discovered there is a fairly simple method.

  1. Take pictures of the text messages by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button on the top or side of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then immediately press and release the Home button.
  2. The picture or pictures of the text or texts will be sent to your Photo App.

3. From the Photo App send the picture/pictures to your computer and print them out.

Note: if you have many pictures to transfer you can utilize the Mac Application “Image Capture” to bring all the pictures to your desk top or to a particular file.

Have a wonderful day.
