Is there a way to get my FCPX audio to Logic Pro?

There was the automatic duck option but that no longer works with FCPX 10.03

Is there a way yet for me to get my audio to Logic Pro for mixing?

I am interested in how this OMF handles audio export has resolved.

I have logic PROx because it claims to be able to import audio from FCPx

Every way suggested above does not work for me in the FCPs to LPX workflow.

I have clips from a camera synched with audio from a zaxcom recorder - Giving me anywahere between 4 top 6 tracks of audio -

LOGICX import FCPX-XML brings in audio ! yay except there is a bug of some sort.

I only get one clip over and over and over for each instance of the zaxcom audio/synch files.

So close but so far.

Anyone been successful with the new FCPx to LPX workflow using synched clips?

I am still having xml export FCPx to LPX issues with clips that have synched audio multi-track files.

If I do no have synched clips the xml from fcpX to LPX works fine.

As soon as I add the synched "compound" clips I have big headaches.

I hope FCPx 10.1 will address this XML bug.

In the mean time, I have employed the XtoProLE Audio convert app.

It is designed for PROTOOLS. I was worried it would not work with LogicProX.

It turns out that,I am able to take the same xml file that is scrambled and useless in Logic Pro X and convert it to AAF. Logic Pro X sees the AAf file and it provides HANDELS!!! <3 <3 <3

It cost me $60 but it has kept my hair in place.

If you have FCP-X XML to LogicPro X issue with 10.0.9 FCPX then Marquis Broadcast XtoProLE is your fix.

The new fcpx 10.1 just came out today. I am in the middle of a deadline and didn't need to fiddle with updates right now. I will update when I update to 10.1 ---

Was curious if you got a chance to see if your problems were cleared up in 10.1?

Just getting back into video stuff and bought FCP X 10.1 after not using since FCPS6 several years ago.

So far, it looks like I can do several things right inside FCP X 10.1 but it's still lacking. Was looking into LPX for a roundtrip audio/FCP solution, but it looks like it's more targeted at actual musicians (which I am not). And, I can't get any confirmation the FCP 10.1 XML import/export actually works well with LPX.

Have read other's using a program called Vordio to get FCP audio into Reaper, but this solution was before the latest FCPX/LPX releases.

Then there's that Triumph app that now claims FCPXML import/export, but there are absolutely no reviews in the app store, or anywhere else that I can find.

My needs aren't as sophisticated as a typical musician's and likely would rarely go beyond what garageband can do to be honest, but it doesn't appear that the latest GB supports FCPXML import/export, unless I'm missing something.

Any suggestions for someone just needing some moderate soundtrack editing features beyond what comes with FCPX?

I was able to upgrade to FCP10.1 and made sure my Logic Pro X was current.

I tried the FCP 10.1 export to FCPxml and import straight into LOGICPRox No GO. LogicRpo X still gives the same garbage in and out points to poly audio clips from my zaxcom.

If I convert the FCPxml files in the XtoProLE then import to LogicPro X BINGO! It works.

Logic Pro X is still a little buggy but we are working together just fine.

The Marquis Broadcast XtoProLE let's me round trip with FCP 10.1 easily and works!

I really wish I was paid to say it. I was reluctant to spend the $60 but I am so glad I did. Now I can speed through my workflow just like I did in FCP7.

Good Luck!

The more I familiarize myself with FCPX 10.1.. it's looking like 90% of what I want to do could likely be accomplished using nothing but FCPX and the current Garageband. I'm not a musician, so it looks like all the extra tools for music creation stuff in LPX and Reaper would be a waste on me.

It would just be nice to get the audio as far as I could in FCPX, then take it to an app to further play with the tracks and add some cool soundtrack stuff, then roundtrip everything back into FCPX with everything still in place and in-sync. If that worked, I'd likely have already bought LPX. So, that's one sale Apple didn't get simply because the FCPXML roundtrip reportedly doesn't work as advertised quite yet according to some of you here and users on a couple other forums... it looks like I'll be better off just making do with garageband or possibly Reaper.

I played with Triumph a bit and just couldn't get the feel for it. There's not much documentation or much of anything with regards to tutorials. So as a noob, that's pretty much put me off of that one.

To be honest, I'd be thrilled if roundtrip FCPXML worked with Garageband. That's likely all I really need for the basic soundtrack stuff I want to play with. Both LPX and Reaper look like waaaay overkill for my needs.

Is there a way to get my FCPX audio to Logic Pro?
