My apple tv screen is zoomed in and won't fit properly on my tv. How do I zoom it back to fit the screen?

Is it the zoom feature? On my 4th gen Apple TV you can triple click the touch area to enter it exit zoom.

The Apple TV doesn't have any zoom controls, it's one of your TV settings that is causing this. (Assuming you aren't watching older 4:3 content of course)
When I return to cable tv evrything is back to normal. This happened after using airplay from my ipad.
The iPad has a 4:3 screen, if you were using mirroring, that is how it will look.
So if I'm not mirroring with ipad anymore, how do I get my appletv back to normal?
It should just return to 16:9 when you play 16:9 content.
Not happening, stil stuck in 4:3. Will reseting my appletv fix this?
Quite possibly but I'd be inclined just to restart it first.
Done all that, even pulled the plug out of the wall for 10min. Still the same.
This just happened to my Apple TV. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?
This happened to me and it was a setting on my tv. One of my kids must have pushed the button on the remote that changed the format. But it's fixed now thank goodness!
