Can't reset Apple ID password!

Charward, I am trying to do this exact same thing with an Apple ID I used about seven years ago. The problem is that the email address I used at the time has long ago ceased to exist, and for some reason my birth date and month are not being accepted. I'm pretty sure I know my birthday. So attempting to resolve the problem using Apple's online tools reached a dead end.

I then tried Apple's Chat, which was very pleasant but she told me she absolutely could not help and I would have to call Apple. When I asked if they could resolve it, she assured me in no uncertain terms it would be resolved over the phone.

So I did that - results? They could not. Absolutely not, no way, impossible, can't be done, finished.

Needless to say I have my doubts about that, since there are other posts about this topic. I find it hard to believe they can't reset a password. I have no objection supplying whatever information required to prove I am who I say I am, but I believe their database of birth dates is incomplete or at least partially corrupt.

So now I am trying Express Lane. It's not looking good either, but I'm not through yet.

If I eventually resolve this I will tell you how. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone.
