If by adding your own code/software into an Apple product, you cause problem; is Apple liable to fix it?

I would say that since Apple basically says no, it is up to them. Whether or not Apple will fix your iPod if a problem comes, I can't really say.

Yeah, I agree it's up to them whether they would fix it or not but this really can't mess up the OS.

This "hack" does not add anything to any Apple software but if they go by the def you gave, well...?

Yes, one would just delete it.

The reason why I say be careful is because of the rm command. I would hate for someone to delete with rm by mistake.

Well if iLounge says it does, it MUST be absolutely true in every single case.
