I've never used the Radio feature, but lately there's been a weird glitch screwing up the Remote app related to radio. When the Remote App connects to iTunes, for some bizarre reason, iTunes tries to refresh its list of hundreds of radio stations, which you can observe in the iTunes message area at the top of the window; there will be a line "Contacting tuning service" and below it another line, "Refreshing <genre>". Lately it's been failing partway through, putting up an error box, "An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your Internet connection, or try again later". This error box must be dismissed in iTunes, and until you dismiss it, some of the Remote app controls won't work right. I use Hippo Remote to start iTunes from a distance, and it kind of defeats the purpose of remote control if I have to go to my computer to deal with this stupid iTunes error concerning a feature I don't use, that cannot be disabled.

Anyway, the good news here is that the radio list refresh has been completing successfully the last couple of days. It takes iTunes about 5 seconds to do it. I'd agree with Damian that it's an Apple problem, as nothing has changed on my end.

Hi all

Apple support gave Me some feed-back today (Translated from Danish).

"Out Engineers are now aware of the problem and have the nessesary information to solve the problem. The problem will be solved in near future. They can't put an exact date on when, but they will do anything possible to get it up running again. They also inform, that the latest firmware update won't solve the problem"

(Kim: Well we were probertly aware of that 🙂 )

The answer sounds a bit "standard", but let us give them a chance....

Kind regards

Gary from US here. I'm still not getting radio stations. This is a pattern I've seen over and over. Something goes wrong, but Apple will not respond or even acknowledge a problem. But they will eventually fix it while we wonder what's going on and fume. One of my least favorite things about Apple.

PS Hope they fix this by the time the new Apple TV is available.

Good advice, I'll do that. This whole thing has me thinking about Apple's new direction. I've been reluctant to embrace Apple's move to the "cloud." As things progress, I would hate to see a day when my assets are exclusively under Apple's silent watch. (Note: this should probably be in a new thread and, as you said, brought to Apple's attention directly.)

THis is becomming a larger and larger problem with apple. Releasing things before they are truely ready to work right. I would really like to see features work right, than have them sooner, and screwing up what I already use my devices for. This problems has been geing reported since the 25th of last month, and we still have no clear answers from apple, even the ATV people at apple can't tell you anything.

Mar 16. Since updating my Apple TV internet radio stations load, but when I choose any station, it displays a message to check connection. If I try again, it displays the Loading Stations message but never finishes. I have tried to reset the network and re-esytablish my WiFi. I can use all other Apple TV features, like view movies, but no radio.
