Sharing Movie to Video camera

Just recently got ilife 6 and Tiger...now when I make a movie and archive it back to mini dv tape, a "firewire has lost connection" box pops up....then Imovie crashes...I've tried with my Canon XL1 and Optura 30...no go...Incidently, I have no problems running my camera from the same connection. Any clue?

I suppose you can start here by resetting your firewire ports..

I'm having the same problem right now. I don't think its the firewire port or cable - I hav a brand new one and its all been working fine this past few weeks before /i upgraded.

Try downloading QT 7 from Apple's website and reinstalling it. I was having the same symptoms trying to export to my camera. There is another post elsewhere in the iMovie HD forum that suggested reinstalling QT 7. It fixed my problem.
