itunes stopped saving my rss podcast ID/password

Well, I just rebooted, and EUREKA...It still works! I'm going to go out on a limb and say this (for now, anyway) is fixed.

I'd still like to see confirmation from others.

Really?? I don't have to keep avoiding updates now?!!! I'm going for it. But I'm backing my s... up!

About time. Thanks for the head's up. I was kind of curious how long I'd have to bypass updates.😀

updating to 11.0 has fixed my problems with usernames and passwords. My problems weren't in the podcasts (dont use them that often) but in connecting to my work network. Finally can stop typing and retyping my username and password!

Regrettably, I trusted the heads-up here and upgraded mine to 11.0 and I still get the prompts for my name and password. Anyone else have this experience?

I upgraded... everything is now working like it's supposed to... finally!

I am using Itunes both under windows and Mac environments. I unsubscribed from all my podcasts, resubscribed, downloaded new items. I rebooted my computer. Came in next day and reloaded Itunes and refreshed my podcasts without being prompted for a single password. I would say it is fixed.

NOTE: I hate the Itunes 11 rewrite. It seems to crawl in comparison to its previous version. A 40 MB broadband pipe is not that slow yet Itunes now is slow. Previous editions would download all new podcasts in under a minute. Since Itunes 11 podcasts download in 3-4 minutes.

It is fixed! Finally after deleting all of iTunes and reinstalling it under 11.0 it didn't ask for a password at all which is fine by me! Thanks all!

This is an old thread but I am having this problem on both of my MacBooks trying to login to download a podcast from the Phil Hendrie show. It is still stuck using my old login so new podcasts will not download.

I can not get the login window to popup to change the login,

I am a reaching out to my tribe b/c of the following issue that started in the last few days or today. (only heard from member today) Was wondering if anyone knew of any changes that might cause this with s2member, itunes, blubrry or any other of the moving parts... Maybe even an itunes/Apple policy change?

What happens when entering username & password into itunes Podcast Authentication Required dialogue box it returns the following message,

"The name or pw entered for erichschiffmann.com was incorrect. Please try again."

and it IS the right password foSho

Although the itunes / blubrry / s2member "podcast password subscription authentication is Broken the rss feed works fine! Password authentication and everything else.

After using blubrry to deliver a protected podcast (protected by s2member wp plugin ) for well over a year working perfectly as of yesterday it now rejects password on itunes sign-in dialogue box. What changed please help members really NOT happy.
