How do I log out of itunes on my computer and sign into a different account?

How do I log out of iTunes and sign into a different account? My mom just gave me her computer, and I need to upload my own itunes account on the mac and delete her account.

To log her out try going to the iTunes Store, click on the account name in the upper right corner, and then click "Sign Out". Next, you'll need to sign in by clicking on the same button in the upper right and then enter your account information. Once you're logged in I think you should be able to sync your music files or download your past purchases from the store to update your computer.

Things have changed since the last time an answer was written for this question and if you're like me you've just scoured the entire website for the sign out or log out button. It's been driving me bananas for the last 30 minutes. Normally you think you would find it next to where your account details are. WRONG.....it's in the TOOLBAR.
